As a busy mom of 3, I am always trying to find ‘short cuts‘ to reduce stress, ease daily tasks and condense travel time.  One of the tasks that usually ends up being last on my list, until that special occasion or photo day is around the corner, has been the dreaded HAIRCUTS!!  Not that my kids complain, or have fears about having their hair cut.  On the contrary, they sit, snack, sip and chat while they await the prized lollipop for demonstrating their skills in STILLNESS.  The problem has become time and place.

My two older kids are in school full days and have afterschool programs 2 -3 days a week, my ‘baby’ naps in the afternoons and won’t sit still unless he’s the one wielding the lollipop, weekends are hockey, skiing, playdates, and let’s face it…down time.  I must confess, I also have a bit of a “hair thing” and must be front and centre with eyes on the scissors while each child is being trimmed.  So really, the only option to making this process easy, would be to have someone come to my house and have them cut my eldest son’s hair, while my ‘baby’ plays with Thomas trains and my daughter makes up songs at the piano.  OR cut my ‘baby’s’ hair while the other two build forts, and jump on the furniture…hmmmm, you get the picture.  Enter angel of salvation, Kimberly Irwin, of Haircuts On Wheels! I mean, can you even take it!!!

Kimberly Irwin, who has 3 kids of her own, knows what it’s like to juggle all of the necessities that come with growing and grooming.  She packs up her car, with her logo on the side, and drives to your house, prepared with DVD’s to keep them occupied, lollipop’s for before, during and after, cute elastics and hair-clips for the girls, and sparkle spray to boot!!  She even brings a drop-sheet and dust-buster for a quick and easy clean-up.  She is energetic and enthusiastic about her job.  She connected immediately to all 3 kids, and she cuts a great cut!  Let’s face it, it’s hard for the best of stylists to keep a 21 month old still and entertained, while trimming around the ears! Yikes!  But she did it brilliantly and they all look primped and gorgeous.  See for yourself!
